 After destroying one Horcrux and discovering the significance of the three Deathly Hallows, Harry, Ron and Hermione continue to seek the other Horcruxes in an attempt to destroy Voldemort, who has now obtained the Elder Wand. Starring: Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, Hugh Grant, Jared Harris Director: Guy Ritchie Out: August 14, 2015  At the height of the Cold War in the early ’60s a CIA agent (Cavill) and a KGB agent (Hammer) are forced to put aside longstanding hostilities to stop a mysterious criminal organization seeking to destabilise the balance of power through proliferating nuclear weapons and technology. The duo’s only lead is the daughter of a vanished German scientist, the key to infiltrating the group… The premise of the 1964 TV series is well suited to director Guy Richie’s skillset. He reimagined Sherlock Holmes with considerable success and should get good quirk and interplay out of the otherwise bland pairing of Cavill and Hammer. Hugh Grant will be fun as their boss Waverly. David Beckham makes his Hollywood debut. |

Along the way, they meet a black former Union soldier, Major Warren (Jackson), who also became a bounty hunter, and a “Southern renegade” (Goggins) claiming to be the new sheriff of Red Rock. On their way, a blizzard hits their stagecoach and trying to find shelter devolves into a plot of betrayal and deception. Also in the cast are Tim Roth, Michael Madson and Channing Tatum. Writer-director Tarantino is back in the West straight after ‘Django Unchained’. It’ll be filmed on 70mm, the ultra-wide aspect ratio used for many classic westerns like 1962’s ‘How the West Was Won’. The script that was leaked didn’t blow anyone away, but it has reportedly been rewritten a couple of times since then. Tarantino rarely makes a movie that isn’t worth talking about. |
